His Life
February 29, 2016

Richard was a very talented person in many ways when growing up, including sports.  He did very well academically and after high school he enlisted into the U.S. Army completing his training at Fort Ord in Monterey, CA and then was stationed in Germany.

Upon his return back home to California, he utilized his unique ability to work and be successful at anything he set out to do, including working as a typist for Advantage Care Medical Group to working at the Hilton Hotel in the maintenance department.

In his later years, Richard moved to Mammoth Lakes where he seemed to find the most happiness while working at Planet Earth and even though Richard was not able to accomplish everything on his bucket list like traveling or playing a round of golf on Pebble Beach he always found happiness and took comfort in his surroundings out in the open fresh air, including fishing with his companion Kristin.

While living in Mammoth Richard used his artistic abilities to write poetry including a poem entitled “Special Lady” for which he won an award and received special recognition.

As a family we take comfort in knowing he was where he wanted to be at the end.

Richard is beloved by his mother, son, sisters, brothers Ron & Rob, brother in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
