14 years! It seams like yesterday we were watching and talking football over a cold one. Many things have changed. Your children have 3 beautiful and smart children, you would be very proud of them! Your wife had a lot to that! Gayle has been a terrific teacher molding and shaping your children and grandchildren! Only wish you were here to share it with them. Hopefully you and Doug are talking sports and playing some bags. Gods speed, we love you and miss you! Scooter

Hi Dad,

I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed watching baseball with you. I remember you and I watching every pitch of the Arizona vs Yankees World Series. We spoke in such detail. Just as you kept your scorecard. Of course, a mechanical pencil only - only to attempt more detail.

I want to tell you that Alyssa has learned to keep score. Started at the age of 3 - wrote a backwards k and gave the scorecard back - she was done. But now, she is loves it and keeps score at every game.

I told her the first time you took me to a Cubs game against the Astros, she wanted me to take her to where we sat, I remembered.

In 2003, you said to doc, keep me alive so I can see the Cubs in the World Series. As you witnessed, they never made it. Although, you were always more concerned about winning the pennant.

Unfortunately, even days later you had passed. November 2nd, 2003.

Well, as you may know, they actually made it to the World Series.

And in game 7, they won. On November 2nd, 2016.

Poetic Justice.........

I miss you!

Please continue to watch over Maddy, Caitlyn and Alyssa.

Love always,

Ray

How appropriate my man that the Cubs are in the World Series on this day! Your family has been going crazy rooting for them but you already know that you have the best seat in the house! Bring home a winner for them and please say Hi to all our family and friends that are all sitting in the front row with you. Love you & miss you take care my man!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

I miss those 'crazy' Birthday's WE had together as a family. Whether it was constantly getting a basketball every year, lotto tickets, burnt peanuts or any assorted candy, or setting up the camera to catch our 'crazy' conversations - just to name a few.

The 'gut wrenching' laughter that ensued is what is priceless.
Thank you!

I wish Maddy, Caitlyn and Alyssa had a chance to experience the craziness, pure love and laughter that we so enjoyed for so many years.

Thank you.

I miss you.

Happy Birthday, Dad.
