Ricky was a very happy little boy and as he grew up he had a lot of pains and hurts but that did not stop him from being a happy adult and as his health started to decline into chronic pain and life's trials and tribulations got to be to much at times he still carried on like a soldier.

Little League Coach

December 11, 2012

My grandson Michael James Richard was 8 years old when he lived with me and his uncle ricky and ricky loved michael and michaels little brother Vance Lee Kennedy
Ricky would take the boys for a walk to get a ice cream at rite aid by our home and
they would walk and talk and eat ice cream and get candy and toys it was always
so nice to see how much ricky enjoyed the boys and he loved being an uncle to
them he would get play dough for vance and a vidio game for michael and pizza
and in the summer we would all go to the water park. Ricky was michaels baseball
coach for that 2 years and the trials and challenges of all the practices and games
brought the guys really close together before ricky died. There are alot of memories of ricky getting michael ready for practice and the games and he would
make sure michael had a snack before the games, lots of great memories. And our
little vance would call ricky unk he was just starting to talk, so he would come over
and say unk i want ice cream and they would head down to the store, ricky loved
those two boys as if they were his own, and i am so glad that they had that time together. I can still hear the boys in my mind running thrue the house with ricky chasing them down to be wrestled with and tickled till they would scream and holler and they would have water fights in the summer in the front yard, those boys had a lot of fun with ricky.
