From Sandy Tofts:
Sandy Toft sent this to me I am pretty sure I am to forward it to you..
I really don't have many pics but I do have a couple of Bob and Bob's place right on my Facebook page. In the Montreal flood of 1987 I lost almost everything which brings me to a story below.....
But I would like the the family to know how wonderful Bob and his family were to me. I was only at Montreal West High for one year so was somewhat of an outsider (from Monklands' which had it's reputation), but Bob and Mrs. Bradley freely opened their home to me, and many others too, it was somewhat of a communal spot and I would often stop after school for tea with Mrs. B. (we all know how tumultuous the teen years can be....). I also remember one early introduction to the gang that I have never forgotten - Euchre !!! I never played the game and I was paired up with Bob and we kicked butt the very first time I played! It kind of made me part of the gang instantly and it felt great - Bob became a very good bud!!
On another note, I had one of Spliff's kittens - Whiskey. I saw her the day after she was born and claimed her instantly!! When she was born everyone thought she was dead because Spliff was in distress and Whiskey was just kind of hanging there - but everything ended up okay. My baby girl was with me for 16 of the most important years of my life. She moved out west with me and back again, saw me through a marriage and divorce and the raising of my sons who loved her as dearly as I did. I had her in the flood of 1987 and came into my eye-level appartment to find her floating on my matress!!! Poor baby she was very adventurous!! It was because of my love of this cat, and my golden Charlie, that I became involved with animal rescues and have fostered for years. I have to thank the Bradley's for giving me such a wonderful sentient creature!
