Clickum, part one

<p>I first met Mr. Lumkin years ago when he visited Vaneice in Seattle, maybe 7-8 years ago.. I was on my way to the gym when Vaneice called and said she got a nee haircut; I was excited to see how it turned out and we decided we would meet at Starbucks. I was so "wowed" by her to new & to my delight, her father had also come along, she introduced us and I sat down we started talking and I started to Smile. He was very dapper. We talked about Jazz, among other things and after about 2-3 hours I told him you have to come home with me and meet my husband! He is going to love you! Vaneice and 'Pops' came that evening to meet my family, my husband Joseph. ,and my 3 kids.He came back a few days later for dinner. But the first night he told us Wonderful stories and how reminded both of our own Fathers. He sent me a years subscription to a jazz magazine that I still have every copy. Mr. Lumpkin you are truly missed. Vaneice, Thank you for sharing your "Daddy" with me and my family. I will never forget the 'Clickum' story! </p>
