Robert Simon (Bob), age 71, born in Camden, New Jersey on April 27, 1941 and son of the late Joseph and Stella Mangano Simon of Blackwood, New Jersey, died peacefully in his sleep on September 24, 2012 at the Bridgeton Health Center Hospice Unit in Bridgeton, New Jersey.  He leaves behind his beloved sister Martha Simon Taylor, brothers John Simon of Blackwood and Joseph Simon of Williamstown and adopted son Richard Joseph and many nieces, nephews and countless friends. Those who loved him knew of his great compassion for animals. Bob was always taking care of stray cats, dogs and horses.  Due to his life-long love of Arabian horses, he has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Arabian Stallion Horse Fund, PO Box 931, Bridgeton, New Jersey, 08302, payable to the executor and Bob's niece, Marcie Taylor-Thoma.
