Rob and Suzie at our wedding...What a beautiful couple! Miss you Rob!

Who was Robby?

August 3, 2013

In the month of May 1964 our parents brought home this beautiful brown eyed bundle of joy. I was 12, my sister Susie 11, my brothers Chuck 10 and Rick 8. Our love for him was unconditional and we watched him grow in amazement.  He soon became the center of our universe and the 4 of us protected him with our lives because he was truly our greatest gift of all.

My sister and I would dress him in matching outfits, my brothers taught him to play sports at a very early age. He grew up on Rock n Roll and the mere sound of Silent Light would make him pucker and cry. He never slept in his crib and on any given night he could be found in our beds under an electric blanket turned on high which explains his love for our warm summer days.

He got his love for flowers from his mother - his passion for sports from his brothers - his strong work ethics from his sister Susie -  financial wisdom from his brother in law Craig -  and everything else that made him the most wonderful person that he is from me (lol). Lastly and most importantly he got his love for life from each and everyone of you.

I had never seen my brother as happy as he was when he married Suzie. For 25 years he was married to his beautiful best friend, his closest confidant and the one who understood him best. They filled each others lives and thier home was a home that was filled with love, family, friendship and food- open to all who would pass, even those just met.

He cherished his family and friends never feeling comfortable being alone. It was never the fancy things in life but rather the BBQ’s, pool parties, boating, camping and fishing trips with friends and family, his rather large dogs, and his love for nature that he held close to his heart.

His motto in life was to live and let live so let this be a celebration of his life not a time for sadness and sorrow but a time to rejoice and remember someone who not only loved life but embraced life living it to it’s fullest....
