I must say you were an easy going child when you were little.  Always very giving and happy.  I remember so many good and happy times when you were a baby.  This is not to say it wasn't difficult at times on my own with you - but not because of you, just the way life worked out for us.  We took your first plane ride together when you were less than a year old - we went to Texas to visit Grandma Clark.  I have pictures of you getting your baths in her kitchen sink - funny to think of that now when you grew up to be so tall.  We flew to Puerto Rico when you were about four years old and you met your cousins and Aunt Melodee and Uncle Ramon.  I remember your face when we were met at the airport - like where did all these people come from.  That first trip there all of Ramon's family came with him and Melodee to meet us.  It was a great trip and even though you didn't speak Puerto Rican language and they spoke very little english - all of you got along great.  

The year was 1984 and I was expecting my first child.  So young and excited to greet this new life that was coming into the world.  As he would prove to be years later in life, he was stubborn and took his time at his birth.  Once you were here Rob - no greater and blessed feeling could I have felt at that moment I held you in my arms.  You were the apple in your Grandma Maxine's eye - her first grandchild. Sadly, another life taken from us too soon.
