Roberta Cook Stalling was born January 14, 1950 in Newnan, Georgia to Annie Pearl Cook and the late William James Cook. She was baptized at Mount Vernon First Baptist Church. As a long time member, she held the positions of secretary and president of the usher board. Roberta continued her Christian experience as a devoted member of Resurrection Church working as secretary, usher, and past head deaconess.

Roberta graduated from Central High School in 1968, and attended Carol Tech to receive her accounting certification. She worked as a Property Manager for Eastgate Apartments, Teacher’s Aide, and Quality Inspector at Panasonic Automotive Systems Company.

Roberta met her partner for life and later married Charles L. Stalling in Coweta County.

One of her past activities included being a member of Eastern Star. Roberta’s passion included sharing her creative talents in the making of printed programs, bulletins, and other publications. Also, she adored her grandchildren and helping them with extracurricular fundraising activities.

Roberta Cook Stalling departed this life Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.  She was preceded in death by her sister Delorise Elaine Cook, her brother William James Cook, and brother-in-law Abraham (Butch) Miller. 

Roberta leaves to cherish her memory husband Charles L. Stalling, daughters Chianti Taiwan Cook of Atlanta, Charla ‘Nikki’ Cook of Newnan, and son Tim (Angel) Cook of Villa Rica, GA; brother Johnny Cook ( Mary Helen)of Newnan, sisters Janice Miller of Battle Creek, MI, and Jennie Quinn Smith (Nolan ) of Newnan; grandchildren Delores (Ariel) Coleman, William Coleman, Tranyce Coleman, Ieshia Washington, Timberli Cook, Nastaija Cook, Miya Cook, Shawla Hill, Timothy Glass; stepsons Charles Stallings II and Greg Stallings; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
