Ron Salisbury was the man most deserving of respect and honor. Yet when Seniors lined up for our midweek monthly church dinner, Ron and his wife, with warm smiles, would line up with the rest of us. He did not pull rank.

He luved as Jesus would live.

Shortly before he went home, Ron and his wife came to our Tuesday Senior feast and took a place at the rear of the entry line -- refusing his privileged status. I teased him about it and his response was his warm, cordial, unassuming smile. Ron was a walking example of Luther's "Priesthood of believers." He was one of us and full of joy.

His life demonstrated what it means to live the GLORY of God. Vine's Bible dictionary defines "glory" as "rejoice." Our Lord rejoiced in Ron and his ministry because Ron rejoiced as he served.
