Dad was born in Colfax Indiana on March 22, 1941 to parents Ora and Evelyn Gish with a sister Mildred Edmondson of Colfax

He was a 1959 graduate of Laramie High School, served in the Army, was a machinist at R.R. Donnelly & Sons in Crawfordsville and farmed in Tippecanoe Co. 

Dad married on Sept. 9th, 1961 to Janet Elaine (surviving), daughter of Burl and Betty Warren of Colfax; they were married for 51 years.

He has two sons Todd (wife Peg), Tim (wife Amie), He had nine grandchildren (Zachary, Seth, Lauren, Julia, Jesse, James, Emma, Rachel Ann, Oren) and one great grand child (Carter). He loved to participate in all their activities as much as possible.

Dad was preceded in death by his father Ora in 1992 and grand daughter Rachel Ann in 2005.

Dad & Mom drag raced in the early years and he enjoyed shooting trap, fishing, Nascar, working on computers and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan.

Dad worked hard and was a freind to many; he enjoyed his life, kids and especially his grand children. All that really knew him, would say "Although preceived as bearish, he was a caring and giving person".
