I miss you more than words can explain. Not a day goes by where I do not think about you. We always had the best memories in the short years I knew you. We would always go to a little pond fight by your house and eat pop tarts and drink juice boxes that you would hide in your sock and underwear drawer. We also would just make some popcorn, and watch some movies in the living room. Just those simple times were the best times I had. I wish you could come back just for a day, so everyone, including me, can enjoy the little things with you. Whenever I go in my chinchilla room, there is a picture of you, and I just remember how much of a good person you are. I miss you dearly and love you so much!

MY FAVORITE MEMORIES THAT I SHARE WITH MY DAD ARE ALL THE TRIPS TO CALIFORNIA WE MADE. THERE WAS NEVER A DULL MOMENT ON THOSE 2 DAY TRAIN RIDES. WE ALWAYS FOUND THINGS TO LAUGH ABOUT AND WE HAD SERIOUS CONVERSATIONS AS WELL. WE WOULD MOSTLY LOOK FORWARD TO THE STOP IN NEW MEXICO WHERE WE COULD GET OFF THE TRAIN FOR ABOUT AN HOUR AND LOOK AT THE ALL THE JEWELRY FOR SALE THAT THE INDIANS MADE. HE BOUGHT MY MOM A PIECE OF JEWERLY FROM THAT SAME SPOT IN NEW MEXICO EVERYTIME HE WENT TO CALIFORNIA. HE HAD THE BEST TASTE AND KNEW EXACTLY WHICH NECKLACE OR BRACELET SHE WOULD LOVE. WE ALSO LOOKED FORWARD TO THE BURRITO GUY THAT WAS IN NEW MEXICO. THIS GUY SOLD THE BEST TASTING BURRITOS! WHEN WE WERE PLANNING OUR TRIPS TO CALIFORNIA WE WOULD TALK ABOUT MAKING THAT STOP IN NEW MEXICO. IT WAS THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MADE US HAPPY! I WAS SO LUCKY TO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GO TO CALIFORNIA WITH MY DAD ONE LAST TIME BEFORE HE PASSED AWAY. WE WENT TO CALIFORNIA IN FEBRUARY OF 2009 AND IT WAS THE BEST TRIP WE EVER HAD. FROM THE MOMENT WE LEFT THE TRAIN STATION IN DEARBORN UNTIL THE TIME WE REACHED THE STATION IN VICTORVILLE CALIFORNIA, IT WAS QUITE AN ADVENTURE. WHEN I LEFT CALIFORNIA LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT IT WAS GOING TO BE MY LAST VACATION WITH MY DAD. I JUST FEEL BLESSED THAT EVERYTHING FELL INTO PLACE THE WAY THAT IT DID AND I WAS ABLE TO TAKE THAT TRIP WITH HIM AND SPEND 2 WEEKS OF QUALITY TIME WITH HIM. MY LAST WORDS TO MY DAD WHEN HE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL WAS "WHEN MY TIME COMES, WE WILL MEET AGAIN ON THE SANTA MONICA PIER" I LOVE MY DAD AND MISS HIM MORE AND MORE EVERYDAY.
back in 1972 i bought the record "angel baby" by rosie and the originals.I played it till i knew all the words and then one day i stopped him on his paper route. i sang that song to him and then gave him a kiss on the cheek. I will never forget the smile he gave me and the twinkle in his eye. he was my first love and i was his..it was a forbidden love that lasted 2 years,but we remained friends.
papa I miss you sooooo much and so does everybody else. i wish i could see you again. i had so much fun bing with you and i have a lot of memories of you. do you remember the time we went to california and went on the hike in the desert. that was so much fun. i added a piture from our first trip to california. i had so much fun. you are the best papa ever. thank you for the fun times and i will never ever forget you.
