His Life

Mr. Ronnie (Mule) Whitehead was born to the late W. A. Whitehead and Leila Mae Campbell on December 17, 1955.  He joined Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at an early age where he remained a member till death. 

He graduated from Woodbury High School in 1973 and later joined the U. S. Army. 

On May 24, 1997, Ronnie (Mule) was united in holy matrimony to Annie Lois (Boone) Martin. 

On Wednesday, February 8, 2012, God called home our sweet soldier, Ron (Mule).  He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Kentravis (KK) Revell and one God daughter, China Rena Brow;  a devoted wife, Annie Lois Martin Whitehead; a loving mother, Mrs. Leila Mae Campbell; four sisters, Josephine Mahone-Stargell of Greenville, GA, Janice (Rick) Slaton of Woodbury, GA, Sheila (Phil) Jenkins of Woodbury, GA and Tracy (Charles) Favors of Manchester, GA; five brothers, John Robert Campbell, Jr. of Greenville, Jimmy (LaShawn) Campbell of Woodbury, GA, Lee Ernest Campbell of Woodbury, GA, Jeffrey (Sabrina) Campbell of Clarksville, TN and Tony Wright of Woodbury, GA.  One brother preceded him in death, Kenneth Campbell of Atlanta, GA.  Seven sister-in-laws, Louis Jones, Hattie Mae Martin, Addie Revell, Veleta Martin and Ruby Kate Martin, all of Woodbury, GA, Janice (Michael) Brown of South Carolina and Alveta Walton of Woodbury, GA; two brother-in-laws, Elige Martin and Lige Martin of Woodbury, GA;  a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends; a devoted uncle, Melvin Holmes and a special friend, Rency Carreker.
