The daughter of the late Willie and Mary Allen Baldwin, Mrs. Ingersoll was a Columbus native, and attended the William H. Spencer High School. She was retired from the Muscogee County School System following 22 years of dedicated services as Head Custodian at MLK Elementary School. She was a member of Cusseta Road Church of Christ. Mrs. Ingersoll was preceded in death by a son, Gromakio Ingersoll and a granddaughter, Ryeika Ingersoll.

Survivors include: two sons, Tyrone Baldwin (Tonya) and Gregory Ingersoll (Taneshia); four daughters, Cynthia Baldwin, Giowarnia Ingersoll Hatchett (Anthony), Gwendolyn Ingersoll and Gwinette Ingersoll Hilson; twenty two grandchildren, loving great and great great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Brigdon, Virginia Jackson, and Joreatha Woodard (Bruce); a beloved aunt, Mrs. Mary Washington; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and loving friends.
