Mama Rosa was in the kitchen again & whoo she got those heart palpitations again, the kind you could see her chest pump up and down. But she was making her prize Texas fried chicken which was powdered with her own special mixture of herbs and spices. Me and all the kids, dozens of them, could hardly wait for one more dinner served with love and grace of this wonderful MOTHER, Rosa Jackson. And what  thrill to see her beautiful daughter Debbie in her stylish clothes and hair. She was very musical talented and Debbie was so proud of her mother as was her mother proud of her. Dan Blocker and his twin children used to come over when we moved to Crenshaw Blvd and even though he was famous HOss Cartwright from Bonanza, we all acted just like friends. Those were the days and I remember it was same time era of the Manson Murders of Sharon Tate. Rosa told me that was black magic and not to dwell on it. She had wisdom even more than cooking talent. I have always remembered her.
