A BEAUTIFUL REFLECTION ON PROVERBS 31 DEACONESS ROSE C. ONONEZE
Proverbs 31:10 says, "Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies". Our mother was by a far standard a VIRTUOUS WIFE and MOTHER. Her price/worth was beyond monetary quantification. Moreso, verse 28 says," Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her." We the children of Deaconess Rose Ononeze have risen and called her a BLESSED MOTHER in the community and beyond. The effect of this honour is the befitting burial given to her today. She has all the noble qualities stated about a virtuous woman in Proverbs 31. She worked so hard to feed and care for her family. Her late husband and living children blessed her.
Mama, you told us that if you die at this time and age, that you are fulfilled. You took the picture that will be used for your burial by yourself. You told me that you want to enlarge it so that when you die, people should watch it and i agreed with you to go and enlarge the picture with N3,000 naira. You were very much aware of your death. Your last born Mr Chinatu Nelson Ononeze called you a day before your death, and you asked him when will he end his NYSC service at Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. He told you gladly that he rounded off that same day 4th October,2011. Out of joy and fulfilment, you lifted your hands up and said, " Praise be to Jehovah that you have finished at last as a graduate". You wanted to go to heaven that day as you waved farewell to Deaconess Nwakaego, i was called on phone at Accra-Ghana and we stopped that heavenly journey momentarily. And you said if one wants to die, is it how it feels, the spirit will just leave the body. The same night you requested good food and a cold bottle of malt drink. Interestingly after that nice meal, you started to bless your grand children one by one, your daughter Deaconess Nwakaego suspected that such prayer was not normal but a prayer of a departing soul, interjected and told you stop such excessive blessing prayers. You are asked her," don't you like blessings, leave me alone, i know what iam doing". The same night you spoke to my wife- Evang. [Mrs] Caroline on how she should help me to rest, so that i will not collapse with the stress of the ministry work. You spoke and advised me too on how to do the ministry work and be stressed free. And i prayed for you that night as you were eating your last meal on earth while in your human body. You ate food, drank your malt drink and said that you were satisfied. We prayed a prayer point we have never said before in my house at Accra-Ghana before, that good news should wake us up in the morning. And your sudden death exit on Wednesday 5th October,2011 was what suddenly woke us up,as Deaconess Nwakaego called us with your phone number that you have exited this world without struggles at all, even at the point of death.
You told us that in case of your death that you have paid all your DUES in the church [TSECN]. That you were not owing any money in the church. My wife and Deaconess Nwakaego teased you on why are you saying this? You told them, because no one knows what happens tomorrow. You truly prepared us emotionally for your death. A General Overseer at Warri told you two days before your death, that God sent him to tell you that you should not fear at all, that God's hand was upon your life. You related the message to me at Accra-Ghana. You had angelic visitation dream to show that you have come to the end of your life on Earth here. You were not afraid to tell me that divine encounter two days to your death. Moreso, Deaconess Chukwuocha [The General Mother of TSECN] saw a vision where Spirit of God told her audibly that ROSE will die. She thought it was another Mrs Roseline that works with you in the church accounts Dept, so she and her husband [The Gen Supt of TSECN] prayed against it. As she slept the same vision repeated itself the same night and she asked the Spirit of God, why will she die now? And the Spirit answered her, " SHE HAS FULFILLED HER ASSIGNMENT, HER TIME IS UP AND SHE HAS HANDED OVER." And in a few days Mama you left this sinful world in peace. Physically confirming that revelation, you handed the accounts of church money in your custody before travelling to Warri, where you slept in the Lord.
Mama, when you saw the grand style with which Mama Emmalex Obinna Okeke of Umuderim Uhuala was buried in September, 2011. Not knowing that you will go to heaven the next month on the 5th October,2011. You told me on phone with joy and fulfilment what happened at her burial. You said many people desired to die, if they can be buried honourably befitting in that manner. Little did you know that you have witness how grand and befitting your own burial will be like. Today, more than your dream burial is what your children have given you, because you merited it, as you are resting in heaven now. You went to heaven when your time was proper; when ovation was louder, you bowed out of the stage of life gallantly and gloriously as a victorious champion.
