Roy Cox, 81, a longtime resident of Granville County, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Universal Healthcare in Oxford.

A native of Granville County, the son of the late Fred and Lena Reagan Cox.  He was a member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church and was a retired farmer.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Johnny Yount.  Burial will be in Grassy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Bullock.

Surviving are two sisters, Adell C. Pulliam of Virgilina, Margaret C. Newton of Oxford, a brother, Bennie Lee Cox of Oxford, several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Maudie C. Thomas and a brother Willie Cox.

Flowers accepted or memorials can be made to the Megan Bunn Fund.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, March 26, 2013 in the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and other times at the home of his sister.
