This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Roy Fletcher - grandfather, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Roy was born on February 14, 1959, and passed away on June 28, 2014. He left us too early at the age of 55 after a sudden illness.
Even though Roy didn't have an abundance materially, he generously gave of his time and attention to help his famly and others, especially those in his fellowship. Although he was a lost soul for many years, he found his true purpose in life his last few years by helping others and he found joy in living each day.
We will remember him forever.
---------------------------------- CELEBRATION OF LIFE ----------------------------
A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Veterans Park in Imperial Beach, CA.
Roy’s family would like to thank the many family members and friends that came together that day to remember Roy and to celebrate his life.
Many family members traveled long distances to pay their respects and we truly appreciated their presence.
We also appreciated the many, many, friends, both from childhood and more recent friends that came; friends who are like family to Roy. We will never forget the unconditional love and support you provided Roy.
For those that were unable to attend, we thank you for your thoughts and prayers and know you were there in spirit.
Tributes
Leave a tributeYour memory will never fade in my heart. Your dedication continues to be an inspiration to me. Love always.
You know me, can't find anyone to fill the hole left by your passing.
We still go to the Playas Meeting, and I think of you constantly.
They took Timmy's date, maybe next year.
Still stumbling, love ya
More than budding earth and
sunlit sky. And so he sent
us friends to love, to lift our
hearts and spirits high.
God chose to teach loves wondrous,
art of comfort, cheer that never
ends. By giving to the thankful
heart the dear good gift
of Faithful Friends.

I am sure Aunt Katie would add a line about a wonderful dear man like our nephew Roy.
Maxine Seyforth
and got to know him as a gentle dedicated man. We had many conversations as he got off work after working all night and as I came to my office in the morning. Condolences to his sister Margaret, father Carl., and the rest of the Fletcher family. RIP Roy-

Prayer
For many years I prayed for Roy, wrote him notes and remembered his sons with notes. How wonderful that he found his purpose in life and acted on it.
When I saw him I was always greeted with a massive hug and that heart warming smile. I believe these last few years were preparing him for eternity with our Lord and Savior.
Love to the family,
Aunt Margaret
