The St. Croix memorial took place on Wednesday, June 26, at the American Legion Hall in Frederiksted and was attended by many friends and family. The spirit was uplifting and, despite a few tears, a stirring celebration of Ibednego's life. People shared stories, readings, songs, good food and warm fellowship.

Special thanks to Pastor Love, Iria, Aunt Claudette, Lena, Batch, Ras Attitude, Lissette, Tony and Tippy for their vital contributions of words and music to the ceremony and to all who decorated, served food and shared thoughts in the celebration.

It was a touching outpouring of love and blessings that Ibednego would be humbled by. Truly inspirational and HIGHLY BLESSED!

My deepest condolences to the family of Russell. I fondly remember Butch as his classmate at St. Patrick's School, Frederiksted. He always made me laugh and shared the biggest smile himself.
