Ruth Jean Wheeler Queen was born January 30, 1948 to Mellon Foy and Myrtle Jean Powell Wheeler. She died at her home in the Grissom Community on February 7, 2019. She attended Wilton and South Granville High Schools. She was a member of Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church and retired from IBM Corporation.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Billy Lexton Wheeler. She is survived by her son, Todd Queen; grandson, Brantley Todd Queen; and daughter Lyndsey Gilkes.
A graveside service will be held at the Wheelous Family Cemetery in Grissom on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, 2 p.m. A fellowship time will follow the service at Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
