Her Life

A big heart in a little body

April 12, 2012

She was born in a small house in Jessamine Co. KY, To Donald B Pittman and Hattie Lois Asher Pittman. When she was four years old her mother and father got divorced and so with her Dad she went to live with her Grandfather Arthur Dallas Pittman and Grandmother Lizzie Emma Pittman. She was for the most part raised in Woodford Co. KY around Versailles. She loved living there so much and was always ready to tell you about the area and how beautiful it was to her. When she was 16 they all moved to Lexington KY and she completed high school at Henry Clay High in 1971. In 1972 while still working in music and looking for new band members, I ran across her cousin Jerry Floyd who told me he knew of an excellent keyboardist. I went to her home to meet her with Jerry and the minute we lay eyes on each other we fell in love. Yes it really was love at first sight. We met on a Thursday, had our first date on the next Saturday. The next Saturday after that I asked her to marry me and she said yes. The next Saturday after that we were married. She lived a simple but very loving life with me, there was nothing we would not try to do for each other, and she forgave me for many things she probably should not have, but we loved each other through it all. We had three beautiful children together and so far ten wonderful grandchildren. (Not saying we need any more Chad...LOL) She loved each and every one. We were together for 39 years 10 months and they were the best years of my life. I will miss her for the rest of my life however long that may be, and I will always love her. Sadly we never did get that rock group together, but that was just fine cause I had her, and that was all that mattered.
