OUR MOTHERS REWARDS

It is not for reason that you are our mother,
that we have this great love for you.
It's because of all you have done for us,
and what you continue to do.
You have such a quiet strength within you,
never complaining much of how you felt.
Although we're certain God has heard your pain,
as before him you have humbly knelt.
Throughout all the troubles in our family,
your faith has stood quite firm.
Even as you have had to step aside,
to let your children learn.
Once you let God come into your life to stay,
into his hands you've put your trust.
As you painfully watched your children learn,
as they went through what they must.
It's been hard for you to keep seven children
on the pathway that you have led,
so never feel as though it was anything you did,
when from righteous ways some had fled.
We know now of the sacrifices that you made,
because wisdom grows with years.
We now lead our children down your pathway,
also filling it with many tears.
Can you imagine how pleased God must be with you,
that you have withstood your trying test.
Surely, he knows what we also know now too,
as a mother, you have done your best.
Forever you'll remember this ninth day of September,
in the year nineteen eighty-nine.
When God rewarded you for your devotion to him,
your husband and children for all time.
So your children give to you this special ring,
to symbolize what we are meant to be.
It's nine diamonds represent our family together,
in the hereafter, for all eternity.
