Sam was the first born child out of 6 siblings to Jimmy And Myrtis Dent. Sam strived to be the best at EVERYTHING he did. When he was just a little boy at the tender age of 9 his grandfather taught him to play his first ever guitar, which if anyone knew Sam he knew a thing or two about playing a guitar, lol! In his younger life he also achieved pitching a no hitter in one of his baseball games, he was also an all star quarterback on the football team he played for, etc. Later on he moved to Los Angeles where he began his long career in music with friends. Then in 1986 his life changed forever, his beautiful daughter Paige Anne was born. Paige was his everything, his heart and soul, what he lived to die for, he loved her soooo much! Then as she got older and then got married she had 3 beautiful children Katie, Bubba, and Beaux as he called them, lol! There again his life changed again, he loved his grandchildren more than life itself! Sam did many great things in his life that we will all cherish as wonderful memories, but after many, many years of battling a long, hard illness, Sam's life was shortly removed from us. We will never forget him and he is with us all! I love you daddy!!!
