Late Sam Amodu, (Sammy Sparkle), the late Ganiyu Salami (Gansal) and others played, entertaining rock and jazz music with their "Expensives" band on the brand new Radio Kaduna Television. They were the heart-beat of Northern entertainment under the direction of late Joe de Goshie and late Chief Joe Fadile.

As Sam-Jones Mofolorunsho grew in age, he also matured in his interaction with and contributed to society. He became a member of Rotary International, Rotary Club of Zaria City (District 912) in 1986 and was the District's President from 1989-1990.
