A Biography of Sam Chi Epeagba

          A wonderful and beloved husband, father, uncle and in-law, Sam Chi Epeagba, was born on March 11th, 1959 into the family of late Mr. David Epeagba, from Umuowushi Ihitte /Uboma and late Mrs. Galdys Epeagba [nee Nwachukwu] of Ikperejere Ihitte/ Uboma L.G.A. Sam was born in Aba Abia State, Nigeria. He was the last born of the family.

          After his primary and secondary education in Imo State, he landed a very lucrative job as a supervisor in Ministry of Works. He worked for a few years, saved enough money and was able to travel to the United States of America. Sam paid his way through college. He attended Troy State University in Alabama and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in December 1984. He got a good job with a computer firm, Robbins Gioia in Montgomery Alabama. He later went to Auburn University where he obtained a Master’s degree in information systems in December 1989.

          He had a good career with Robbins Gioia in Montgomery Alabama, and later joined Unisys where he had a very successful career. His job took him all over USA (Michigan, Denver, Colorado, California, Florida, Atlanta Georgia etc.) where he supervised major IT projects as a software engineer/ project manager. After over 20 years in the IT industry, and traveling majority of the time, Sam decided to start his own business. His passion for cars led him into the car business. Until his death he was the owner and CEO of Motorventure LLC.

          During one of this several trips to Nigeria, he met his wife Ebere Anuwkwuem. They got married December 1990, and she later joined him in Montgomery Alabama. They finally relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in the year 2000. They are blessed with four wonderful children; Stacy pre-med, Georgia State University, Sam Jr. pre-engineering Andrew College, Stephanie 11th grade (High School), and Stanley-David 9th grade (High school). Sam was a man of substance who loved and cherished his wife and children and his siblings. Sam single handedly put his wife through Nursing school without any loans. He was always there for his family. Sam’s total love and commitment to his family manifested in so many ways; yearly family vacations, supported his kids in extracurricular activities, made sure the family never lacked anything. Infact, he was a loving and caring Husband and father.

          Sam was a devout member of North Point Community Church and made sure his family got involved too. He loved tennis, swimming and soccer.

          On June 1st 2012, on his way back from work, Sam was involved in a motor vehicle head on collision that ended his precious life here on earth. May he rest in perfect peace.
