Sandy Lea Shotwell, 59, a native of Person County passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at his home.

Sandy was the son of Bennie Leamon Shotwell and Nancy Moore Shotwell and was of the Baptist Faith. He ran a Merita Bread Route in Durham for many years and he was often called the “Breadman”. He was a former warehouse attendant at Canteen in Durham. Sandy was a Harley Man, loved to ride motorcycles and was a hard worker at anything he did.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor by Rev. Carroll Brackett. Entombment will follow the service at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.

Surviving other than his parents are his wife, Marilyn B. Shotwell of the home; daughters, Stephanie Rodriguez of Texas, Heather Ellis of Kittrell; son, Dusty Shotwell of Durham and five grandchildren; sister, Tammy Holt (Hugh), brothers, Mike Shotwell (Shelia), David Shotwell (Tammy) all of Roxboro and many loving nieces and nephews

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 3, 2018 prior to the service from 12:30 – 2:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.
