ForeverMissed

This memorial website was created in memory of Sangi,
  born on December 17, 1970
and passed away on August 3, 2015.
At only 44 years of age, she was taken from us way too soon.
We will remember her forever.

We at Shadowlore and the entire vampire community have recently lossed one of it's major contributers and dare I say icon!
Sanguinarius (Sangi) "Elizabeth Bishop" was about as close as could be a founder and the start of vampire information sites since the internet was born.
In fact when i first got online years ago her site appeared with every search i did for vampires and I know i'm not the only that had that expierience.
I was blown away with the amount of information that was before my eyes.
It in turn led me to many other places and people I could talk
to and be accepted for who I was.
Shadowlore may have never existed if it was'nt for her
as the others who help make it successfull was found through the
above mentioned links and info that the site consisted of.
I had the pleasure of meeting her at a few Shadowlore gatherings in the past and for the many who have'nt are probably expecting
some dark goth looking lady with fangs and the whole typical typecast.
Who she actually was...is the complete opposite.
Sure she had some hair color changes and such but she was one of the sweetest caring individuals one could ever meet, not to mention hilaroius!
It is our duty to keep her alive and the rest of the community alive by continuing what she started as i'm sure she'd have it no other way.
She will always be around when we share our memories,
our stories, and our laughter that only she could bring.
You will always be missed Sangi...and may you rest in peace
where ever you may be!

-Grim

 RIP
Sanguinarius | 1970-2015 | Vampire Community Pioneer

The Vampire Community has suffered an immense loss of a pioneering elder, educator, and role model.  A short while ago it was relayed and confirmed from a very dear friend, Jeff Holland, that Sangi (Sanguinarius) passed from this life during the morning hours of August 3, 2015.

Sangi, thank you for all that you did for the real vampire community and those who were inspired and helped through your resources.  We love you and our heart aches — you will be missed more than words can adequately express!

I never had the pleasure of meeting Sangi in person, but I spent many hours chatting with her online. As a teenager I was in a bad place and barely making it through the day. I didn't feel there was anyone who accepted me for who I was, but Sangi did. She was a great listener and very encouraging. In the twilight hours when there was no ody else there for me, Sangi was there. She will forever dwell in a special place in my heart. I was very saddened to hear of her passing and even more to find that I was no longer able to reach her website. Rest in peace Sangi. You are loved and missed.

Sanguinarius was a resource for me at a time when I most needed validation, information and community. The internet allowed a lot of folk, who might have otherwise thought their deeply-felt sense of self was wrong or crazy, to connect and share experiences. Sangi made this happen in the early days of website building and selflessly maintained this vast resource for folk she would never meet, but cared about so deeply. The nature of the internet is that sometimes those who influence us most are invisible behind the walls of information. Sangi’s passing shows how, on the other side if the screen, we’re living beings with a tenuous hold on this life, but still hopefully guiding each other into better love and understanding. Thank you, teacher and friend, for helping me to know and love myself.

Eternally grateful for all that you have done for me, for all the education, for all the projects. You are forever missed sister, and friend. I miss all the joking around and silliness. You always knew how to take a situation and turn it into a laugh. Hugs. ~Happy Birthday old friend~

Sangy will be forever missed, she was a great influence in helping me become established in the late 90's upon entering the VC. She was a guide and mentor who showed me how to refine myself over the years. We were active on the old php nuke sites, yahoo, and aol groups. We talked via messenger reflecting on the past, excited for this new era. Among a hailstorm of madness. Sangy supported the establishment if Ravenheart and helped us grow and maintain. I already miss our talks, laughing, and her feisty personality. Liz is a beautiful soul taken from us to early. But never forgotten. May she spread her wings, and be the blessing bat to keep watch over us all.

Sangi was the one (outside of family) who provided my first big step in the long path that has been my membership and acceptance in the Online Vampire Community. She inspired me in so many ways, one of which was my own site, which she had claimed as the sister to her own. She was one badass, strong, funny woman who knew what she wanted and did what was needed to get it. She was taken from us far too soon, but I'm positive her legacy will live on, and she's probably looking down on us with a smile on her face. Especially since so many have been gathering in her IRC chat room for what I like to think of as a long running wake. I'll miss you, Sangi. Much love.

I miss you. We phoned, we texted, we chatted for hours. We brainstormed we laughed, we laughed some more, we made a difference.  I'll do my part of keep fighting the good fight, but there will always be an empty chair at the table, for you. xxoo

There is such a large space missing in my heart now, it is hard to put the emotions into words. You where one of the first to help me come to grips with what I am. You did not care if a person was vampire, donor or whatever. You always strived to provide knowledge and support to one's who seek. It will take a lot of people to fill in your set of shoes. Love you and miss you E.
