At first days of May, he traveled with friends and his father at the Holy Mountain Athos as they used to do every year. Before that, they had a stop in Thessaloniki, when they visited his favorite singer at the club she was working.
He came back in Cyprus approximately at 10 of May. The next day at lunch time, he contacted a monk from the Holy Mountain. He was in the kitchen talking with the monk in cell phone. I was studying at the living room. The monk told Savvas that we have to make a baby by the end of the year. Savvas turned phone in loudspeaker and he said "Brother, my wife is listening to you now". The monk said "Kyriaki, I said to Savvas that you have to make a baby by the end of the year". We promised yes and Savvas said "We will call you when we have the good news".
On Friday, 18 of May, was Savvas 28th birthday. We went to celebrate in a tavern with his friends, my mother, sister and sister in law. After tavern, I let him go out with his friends. He came home at dawn, drunk. That night we slept hugged at the couch. I could risk leave him alone on the bed. It was dangerous on his situation.
From next day and then, he became anxious. I asked him and he said he had work problems. On Wednesday he confessed me that he has chest pain and he didn’t know why. I told him to take him to the doctor and he said that it was from stress.
On Thursday after his work, he came home very anxious. He needed some financial help with the cars and that day, he requested it from relatives, but they couldn’t help him. He was very sad. He hugged me and he said "Do you love me?". I answered "More than anything". It was very strange. When we went to sleep, he couldn’t fall asleep. He was holding me, and our dog so tight, calling us 'his women'. I switched off the lights.
Friday, May 25. We woke up as usual at 6:30. We had a shower. At 7:30 he kissed me goodbye and I left for work.
Two hours later, one of his friends called at the office asking for my uncle. Few minutes after, my uncle called me and he told me to go urgently at the hospital because Savvas had an accident with a motorbike.
Six hours surgery. 21 litres of blood. I was outside and I couldnt help him. Lost. I prayed. We had friends in Church. I sent messages, hoping that dosens of prayers could sent a message to God, to make a miracle and give mercy to us, who loved him. The surgery ended. The doctors called me to see him at the emergency room. They said "you have to say goodbye". Fainted. I cried as I didn’t cry my whole life. I was begging him to wake up. "We have a promise to keep.." He didn’t hear me. 17:00.. He left me, his mom, dad, sister, our Annie, and this cruel world..
