Mr. Seabron "Pig" Profit, Jr. of Columbus passed away Monday at Columbus Hospice House at the age of 71.

The son of the late Seabron, Sr. and Mattie Grier Profit, Mr. Profit was a native of Columbus. He was a graduate of Spencer High School, and was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. He was retired after 35 years from Fieldcrest-Cannon, and had served as a bus driver with the Muscogee County School district. He also worked at J. C. Penney's.

He was preceded in death by a beloved granddaughter, Joya Moore.
Survivors include: his wife of 35 years, Mrs. Sandra Atkinson Profit; a daughter, Mia G. Moore (Lorenzo); two grandchildren, Jevori, Javien and Jazmyne; a cousin whom he raised, Kelly Gates (Chris); his mother-in-law,
Doris Atkinson; two brothers-in-law, William Atkinson (Jackie) and Nolan Barrett; four sisters-in-law, Detra Harvey, Contance Barrett, Tommasina Hughley (Reginald) and Samantha Timmons (Michael); a host of other relatives and friends.
