National Executive Council of the Ijaw National Congress (INC) announce to the Ijaw Nation and indeed the general public the demise of our great leader, patriot, statesman and President of the Ijaw National Congress, HDH Sen. (Dr.) Tari James Sekibo, MFR, JP, on 18th November, 2013 in Government House, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State in the course of official duties. Late Senator T. J. Sekibo who hailed from Okrika in Rivers State was a Member, House of Representatives and also a distinguished Senator during the Second Republic. He was once Chairman of the Okrika Divisional Council of Chiefs (ODCC) and a Chief of Odo-Abaji War Canoe House. Until his death he served as Board Chairman, Niger Delta Basin Development Authority.
