Sgt. Clint A. Sikorski, of Rothschild, Wisconsin. A 2005 graduate of Wausau East High School, he enlisted in the Army on November 1, 2005 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and reported to Fort Sill, Oklahoma, for training as a cannon crewmember. Upon completion of his training, he served one year at Camp Casey, Korea before reporting to Fort Lewis on June 6, 2007, and was assigned to 1st Bn., 377th Field Artillery Regt., where he served as a howitzer assistant gunner and howitzer gunner. Clint's civilian and military education includes the military occupational specialty 13B - Cannon Crewmember - qualification course (2006), and the combat lifesavers course (2007). His awards and decorations include the Army Achievement Medal (3 awards), National Defense Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon. He was trying to direct traffic on 4th Division Drive when he was struck by a civilian vehicle driven by another soldier. Sgt. Sikorski was transported to Madigan Army Medical Center where he died hours later. He is survived by his wife, Mandy Sikorski, Fort Lewis, Washington, his mother, Walline (nee Wadzinski) Sikorski, Wausau, three siblings, Bobbi Jo Burk and Maureen Sikorski, both of Wausau and Kenny Kroeplin, Eau Claire, grandparents Arline Sikorski, Weston and Wallace Wadzinski, Eland. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Robert K. Sikorski (1954-2007), and Andrew Sikorski and grandmothers, Doreen Sikorski and Margaret Dentler.
