I miss your kind smile and generous heart so much. You were one of my first friends in Decatur, and always made me feel welcome. You went out of your way to make others smile and laugh, and I don't think that your smile changed in the 20 years I knew you. I think about you often and miss you terribly. Some day, we will see you again, but until then, please continue to watch over your mom and walk beside her throughout her journey. Please give my love to my little sister, and let her know how much she is missed down here also. Love you bunches!

Dear Shannon, I never met you...and you don't know who I am...but I know a lot about you from your wonderful Momma Nell. She has become a very special person in my life...a mom to me...and grandma to my kids. Her and I have something very special in common...we both birthed children on October 25. My daughter Hope was born on your birthday...and I believe this is why your mom and I met. 9-27-14. Today Shannon we had our first AFSP walk. Some of you loving family was there to walk in your honor. Of course I shed many, many tears. Baby I know you are happy and at peace, but I am selfish and want you with me. Your birthday is coming up Oct. 25th, it again will be the saddest day of the year for me.
