Sharon Elizabeth Taylor Wallace
November 27, 1955 - May 10, 2012

Sharon E. Wallace age 56, of Buskirk, Ky., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday May 10, 2012, at her home in the loving care of family and friends.

Born on November 27, 1955, in Mingo County, W.Va. Sharon was the daughter of the late Sam and Hattie L. Meade Taylor.

Written by her husband James Wallace: "I was walking through my garden one day, when I saw a rose in a little pile of clay.  It seemed to smile and look at me as if it wanted to say, "Will you be the one who takes care of me today.”  So, I cared for the rose each and every day, and the rose began to bloom in that little pile of clay.  The rose is still blooming, after all these years; we've shared so much love and cried so many tears.  If I had to name that precious rose today, I would call it Sharon, in that little pile of clay."

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Sam “Shorty” Taylor III.

In addition to being a homemaker or a “Domestic Engineer” as quoted by Sharon, she was actively involved as a member of the Tug River Freewill Baptist Church of Sprigg, W.Va., where she served as a choir participant, President and Treasurer of the ladies auxiliary, Sunday school teacher, and Kids drama instructor.

Those that remain to honor her loving memory and mourn her passing include her loving husband James A. “Jim” Wallace; son James “Jimmy” (Jennifer) Wallace; special son Colton Copley; special sisters Linda (Tom) Copley; and Tammy (Rick) Sirbaugh; grandchildren Megan and Noah; brothers Jack; Troy; and Donald (Nancy) Taylor.

Sharon is also survived by her church family of the Tug River Freewill Baptist Church Sprigg, W.Va., and a host of friends and neighbors.

Honoring services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday May 13, 2012, at the Tug River Freewill Baptist Church of Sprigg, W.Va., with Pastor Bobby Stiltner officiating; burial will then follow in the Buskirk, Ky., Cemetery with Phillip Massey, Colton Copley, and Josh Addair among other friends and family members serving as pallbearers.

The family will begin receiving friends on Saturday May 12, 2012, at 6:00 p.m., at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chambers Funeral Services, Inc., of Matewan, W.Va.
