Shayne Marie Shella, 38, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed peacefully into heaven on February 5, 2016 after a courageous journey with metastatic breast cancer.

Ms. Shella, formerly of Medina, Ohio, leaves behind her loving parents Joseph and Elizabeth Shella and her two beautiful children Alyssa Dalton (9), daughter of the late Christopher Dalton, and Chase Fox (6), son of Clifton (Randy) Fox.

Also bereaved are Shayne’s brother Scott Shella of Brunswick, Ohio; brother Philip Schwan, sister-in-law Rebecca Schwan, nieces Leah and Sarah Schwan, and nephew Benjamin Schwan of Lyons, Ohio; sister Angela (Schwan) Rady, brother-in-law Andrew Rady, nephew Allan Rady and niece Sadie Rady of Wadsworth, Ohio; sister Bethany Schwan of Columbus, Ohio; Alex and Kathy Piwowar of Medina, Ohio; John (Jack) and Tonia Petro of Parma, Ohio; Don and Margaret Shella of North Royalton, Ohio; Paul and Doris Day of Parma, Ohio; Clifton (Randy) Fox of Punta Gorda; Sam and Patricia Fox of Rittman, Ohio; Richard and Kathy Dalton of Cleveland, Ohio; Betty Shella of Columbus, Ohio; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Shayne was a member of Deep Creek Community Church, where a Memorial Celebration is planned for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 18 at 1500 Cooper Street, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. There will be no interment. Memorial services are also pending in Medina, Ohio.

The Shella family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in Shayne’s honor to Little Pink Houses of Hope (littlepink.org).
