Happy Birthday, Sweet Sister!

November 11, 2013
Thanks For The Memory - rod stewart

I think about you every day, and love to see your lovely face smiling out at me from every room of my house. I'm taken to wonderful family reminiscences, great old stories and all the amazing ways you gave so much of yourself to all of us.

Know that we all love and miss you, and that your loving sweetness will be with us always!

Love,

Donna

Sail on Sweet Sister

September 23, 2013

Sail on, sweet sister, sail on

Glide in eternal ease and lasting peace

In the clear and tranquil waters

Of that magnificent sea that you love so well

Take along our devoted and beloved parents

And visit the blissfully embracing homelands

Become one with the alluring treasures of the deep

Travel the beckoning coastlines

Hug the genial shores

Of every captivating continent

Of every river, inlet and gulf

Swim with the joy and abandon that we so did as children

And with the wisdom and perception that you earned as a woman

Take in the wonder of the world you understood with such profundity

And whose beauty you took in with such awe

Ebb and flow with the gently lapping waves

Ride the roaring, tunneling surfs

Find those glorious dolphins, sea urchins and starfish

Weave among the delicate sea grasses and the brilliant sun coral

Discover the secrets

Become one with them

Gaze at the sky

Take in its brilliance and light

Gaze out at us

And remember

That we remember

You

With much and enduring love

Sail on sweet sister, sail on…

But stay with us, stay with us always

In all the sweet remembrances you leave behind

And most of all… most of all…

Within the depths of our loving hearts!

A Well Remembered Friend

September 17, 2013

Sheila became part of our family in 2006.
From the start, her joyful spirit and giant smile made us feel
that she welcomed us into her life. We certainly loved her right away. Sheila & I shared e mails where we talked like old friends. We spent some special days together... I remember one she especially enjoyed was Superbowl  Free Sunday. We women got together for a "girl's movie" and turkey dinner. Sheila contributed her Mom's special rice dish; delicious, and gone by the end of the meal!  We shared:  daughters (Dara & Robin), a son Chris(my son-in law), grandchildren (Alex & Julianna), conversation, secrets, ideals, teaching (mine young, hers young adults) and a connection. It was my privilege to know this dear lady and I DO miss her.
