Sheryl Linda, my cousin, known as Sheri or Ya Ya, had so much fun as playmates growing up. I’m heartbroken as all are.
Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very very dear.
Knowing you are with our Dear Lord and at Peace, will give your family and friends the peace they are seeking.
Love you and many prayers Sheri♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Her Life
July 9, 2019

Sheralinda “Sheri” Jamison was born July 20, 1951 in Dallas, TX to A.C. and Dorothy Howell.  On June 27th 2019, surrounded by her family, she received her eternal reward, and went on to be with our Heavenly Father.  Reunited with her daddy, A.C. Howell, niece, Samantha Jones, granddaughter, Lillian Johnston, son-in-law Michael Johnston, and sister-in-law Linda Howell.

Sheri is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ric Jamison; dtr, Emily Johnston; son, Donald Jamison and wife Ashley; dtr Elizabeth Sullens, and husband Howie; son, Dennis Jamison, and wife Erika; mother, Dorothy Howell; sister Julie Jones, and husband Gary; brother Andy Howell; too many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews to count; and those that call her YaYa - Elisa, Dylan, Wesley, Tristan, Nehemiah, Wyatt, Joshua, Kellan, and Evelyn.

Sheri lived her life to the very fullest, always showing her strength, her love for her family, and most importantly, her faith in God.  On January 8, 1971 she married her highschool sweetheart Richard Jamison, and started out on a 48 year adventure. It’s unclear whether or not she knew how crazy that adventure was going to be, but she took it all in stride, and made it look easy.

She taught us what it means to love unconditionally, and how important family is.  She could be serious when needed in order to get the task done, but she also knew it was ok to be silly and have fun.  From throwing socks across a dark bedroom at her sister when they should have been sleeping, to letting her kids have ice cream for dinner, she made things more fun, and created memories that will last forever.  Sheri had a way of always making everyone feel welcome. It didn’t matter if you were a guest at a table set with fine china and silver, or at a backyard birthday party milking goats. She made camping with 4 children in the rain (with a leaky tent) look like a walk in the park, and she could make countless creations out of nothing, the night before a project was due (but that is NOT recommended!)

She took on everything life handed her, with grace and dignity, always striving to be the best wife, mom, daughter, sister, aunt, and YaYa that anyone could ask for.  We realize how blessed we are to have had this amazing woman in our lives, and we will forever be grateful to God for that blessing.

Kazoos blown at the Dallas County Sheriff on a drug raid, soldier-crawling to safety, Senior Girl Scout conferences, banana peels, making baby food, cheese slicer, moving, moving again, falling through the window, "dog or an eagle", SpapOop, Baskin Robbins, Mother's Day Out, life events and everyday life.  It was all there, and it was a good run.  My bestie.

Girl Scouts, wall paper, and shopping!

July 9, 2019

Sheri and I became friends through our daughters when they were at Shields Elementary - her Elizabeth and my Erin. Sheri and I were "co-leaders" of the girls' Girls Scout troop. But, I was a "leader" in name only since I had no camping experience whatsoever. I was completely clueless and useless. But, Sheri didn't mind - she made me look smarter and better at just about everything than I actually was. (I'll bet many people would say that about her) We had a lot of adventures while the kids were gone during the day at school. I have hysterical memories of us wallpapering our kitchens together. What a fiasco! Like the time she accidentally stuck the exacto knife into the electrical outlet and gave herself such a shock!  We laughed and rolled in the floor until I think we might've wet our pants! And lots of shopping together for bargains. Sheri had an entire catalog of coupons in her purse and she never paid full price. I've never seen such a savvy shopper! She could stretch a dollar until it begged for mercy. Sheri was whip smart, but also wise, hilarious and full of love for her family, her friends, but above all, for the Lord. Loved that gal.
