Sheralinda “Sheri” Jamison was born July 20, 1951 in Dallas, TX to A.C. and Dorothy Howell. On June 27th 2019, surrounded by her family, she received her eternal reward, and went on to be with our Heavenly Father. Reunited with her daddy, A.C. Howell, niece, Samantha Jones, granddaughter, Lillian Johnston, son-in-law Michael Johnston, and sister-in-law Linda Howell.
Sheri is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ric Jamison; dtr, Emily Johnston; son, Donald Jamison and wife Ashley; dtr Elizabeth Sullens, and husband Howie; son, Dennis Jamison, and wife Erika; mother, Dorothy Howell; sister Julie Jones, and husband Gary; brother Andy Howell; too many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews to count; and those that call her YaYa - Elisa, Dylan, Wesley, Tristan, Nehemiah, Wyatt, Joshua, Kellan, and Evelyn.
Sheri lived her life to the very fullest, always showing her strength, her love for her family, and most importantly, her faith in God. On January 8, 1971 she married her highschool sweetheart Richard Jamison, and started out on a 48 year adventure. It’s unclear whether or not she knew how crazy that adventure was going to be, but she took it all in stride, and made it look easy.
She taught us what it means to love unconditionally, and how important family is. She could be serious when needed in order to get the task done, but she also knew it was ok to be silly and have fun. From throwing socks across a dark bedroom at her sister when they should have been sleeping, to letting her kids have ice cream for dinner, she made things more fun, and created memories that will last forever. Sheri had a way of always making everyone feel welcome. It didn’t matter if you were a guest at a table set with fine china and silver, or at a backyard birthday party milking goats. She made camping with 4 children in the rain (with a leaky tent) look like a walk in the park, and she could make countless creations out of nothing, the night before a project was due (but that is NOT recommended!)
She took on everything life handed her, with grace and dignity, always striving to be the best wife, mom, daughter, sister, aunt, and YaYa that anyone could ask for. We realize how blessed we are to have had this amazing woman in our lives, and we will forever be grateful to God for that blessing.
