SPC(Retired) Shuntavia S. Kemp of Columbus, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at her home at the age of 27.

A native of Moultrie, GA., Shuntavia was the daughter of Sheila Spradley Hunter and Tony Kemp. She was a 2006 graduate of William H. Spencer High School and attended Georgia Military College. She retired from the U.S. Army. A member of Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church, she attended Greater St. Mark A.M.E. Church.

Surviving other than her parents are a daughter, Genesis Scott; two sisters, Tonicia L. Kemp and Shamori C. Lewis; her grandparents, Lois Green, Robbie and Selina Brown; father of her child, Gavin Scott; grandmother of her child, Katina James; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
