Sofia's Leadership Accomplishments

April 3, 2015

No one person can ever write a comprehensive list of Sofia's accomplishments because she never bragged about herself. She was the most humble grassroots leader and oftentimes would put herself in the background to put others in the spotlight.

This is why we need everyone's help who is visiting this memorial website to add their stories of how she lead and touched others. We can't wait to see and hear everyone's stories through words, pictures and videos.

Below is a compilation of various websites where Sofia was featured as a leader:

Sofia's Family

April 3, 2015

Sofia, a beloved wife, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, colleague, will be missed in our hearts forever...

She will be specially remembered to be a loving "nana" to Silverio and his wife Bonnie, Andres and his wife Samantha, Michael, Agustin, Caleb, David, Raquel and Marissa. Her great-grandchildren Aryo, Eros and Lorenzo made Sofia very proud.

Her strength will be treasured by her children Linda, Saundra, William and her deceased son, Rick. As many hours as Sofia put into her community leading efforts, she always made time to be a caring mother that put her family first.

Memories of her deceased husband, Gilbert, were that he always supported her tireless hours and efforts to improve the community of San Jose and was the most confident and secure husband. She will no longer cry for him on her birthday when he passed away, but she will now be together with the love of her life.
