|Let the memory of SSGT Jason be with us forever|
My brother lived to serve and save as many people as he could from the
battle field. He treated everyone as equals and had a strong belief in
right and wrong. He always had a smile, a kind word or a weird joke
for those who felt down. He had a weird sense of humor, one that
everyone in our family shared, and he found a wonderful wife whose
humor was just as warped. He loved silly pranks, horror movies,
scary books, lying out at night to watch the stars. He gave
inspiration to those who needed it. He didn’t talk a lot or open up
that much, but when he did, it came from the heart and you could feel
that in his words. He lived each day with a love of family, friends
and country, and he is greatly missed by many!
All Medals Received
Jason received many medals, but he put them away because the medals
did not mean as much to him as the letters from other military people
who's lives he helped save.
All Awards Received
Jason thought the same thing of awards that he did of medals, he put
them away. He did not think that he should show off such things for
doing his job and helping to save lives. Letters from those he helped
and letters from families of people he held the hands of while they
passed away, where all the recognition he needed.
"I always wanted you by my side and wish you were here. DUST OFF!"
