Response to Outstanding Forest Steward of the Year 2010

September 17, 2010

"I've always considered our family to be stewards of this special land, and we have always focused on improving and maintaining the unique environment with which we have been blessed." said Levine, who co-owns the ranch with wife Elaine, son and ranch manager Ken, and three of Ken's siblings. Q: It is hard to imagine you not looking ahead

September 16, 2010

"I don't really look ahead. As I said, life just happens to me. I've been very blessed that I have property in Colorado and that my family uses as a retreat and to have very close family, very supportive of each other. We enjoy each other's company and spend as much time together as possible. This is something that I hope will continue to occupy my time in the future as well as continuing to be part of the cultural community here. I imagine myself having ongoing involvement. A lot of people use the expression "giving back", but I don't think that way at all. I'm the one that's being privileged to participate." Stanley Levine, Miami Today, April 2007

Q: Your family is important to you?

September 16, 2010

"I'm very happily married to the mother of our four children and have five beautiful grandchildren. Two of my sons have assumed the responsibility of the law practice - they are very competent attorneys and respected in the community, which is extremely important to me. It turns out it's all about family and community in the final analysis." Stanley Levine, Miami Today, April 2007
