I grew up in the 80s at Stan & Maude's house. The Schaetzel's were close with my parents Marilyn and Peter Smith and we had Wednesday night dinner with them every week. My farger and Stan were work collegues but it extended FAR beyind that. I remember they threw the most wonderful parties with Maude's cumquat brandy (not for me of course) and i remember Maude's incredible and eccentric pottery and the odd little Polish lady Helen who lived in the granny flat for some years.
They were such a wonderful part of my childhood and our families lives. 
Does anyone know if Maude is still alive? I know she'd be late 80s or so now. I'd love to know as i think fondly of those times often.
