The Couch Story
Some of you have heard versions of the couch story with his friends Tom and Gwyneth, here is Steve's version of what happened, he had quite the way with words!

Education was so important to Steve. He earned his Bachelors degree at Golden Gate University in 2008 (Summa Cum Laude) and was pursuing his Masters. We have set up a scholarship fund which will go to adults with children. Please see the link below to donate, and thanks!

Steve started wearing a Garmin, and it's a good thing. It helped the Medical Examiner find out where Steve lived, but it also allows us to see where he ran. This will be an annual run, on the Saturday of Easter weekend.

Below is the link to the slideshow that was shown at the San Francisco Memorial, accompanied by music (we agonized over which song, but Stephanie found this one and we thought it was perfect, and he loved the Smashing Pumpkins)

Below is a link of one of the musical tribute from the San Francisco Memorial at Presidio Golf Club, Steve’s brother Mike and son Sean are playing guitar and Steve’s daughter Stephanie singing to John Lennon’s Across the Universe. Steve spoke of his love of Fiona Apple's version of the song.
Steve, aka Muff Snatcher, was a long time r*nner with the San Francisco Hash House Harriers. Steve developed some of his closest friendships through the Hash, and Steve and I met hashing. We are a very close group and SFH3 was devastated to hear of the passing of a beloved hasher and former GM. Here is a link to the first hash after Muff Snatchers passing:

When Steve met Fiona she was deep into trianing for Ironman Brazil and from that point on he both supported her and cheerfully tolerated the (sometimes riduculous) world that comes with falling for a SF triathlete.
After much encouragement we convinced him to participate on a relay team for the Wildflower 1/2 Ironman. Consisting of Fiona as swimmer, my bike crazed roommate, and Steve as the anchor, it seemed like they'd assembled the dream team.
Despite a mostly male field Fi and Michelle finished their swim and bike legs near the top of the filed holding fourth place as Steve headed put on the brutally steep and notoriously hot run. Halfway through the 13.1 miles Steve crushed the opposition (which incidently included my ex and his "new girlfriend") and team SHERUDNEY pulled ahead to win first place in the 2009 Wilflower Long Course.
I still laugh every time I think about the three of them on the winner's podium. It was a great weekend, without a doubt my favorite trip to Wildflower.
