I bought you a new stocking, even your your not here.   I seen it and it's Radiders colors and it made me feel like your near.   So I brought it home and across the front I wrote your name so clear.   I hung it on the christmas tree and there it hangs my dear.

I mentioned to Steve one day that I noticed that Emmy's Toothpaste was running out as fast as our was yet she was here half the time.


He replied with "That's because I've been using it, that stuff tastes like bubblegum....IT'S COOL!"

He loved to cruise down the highway blasting the song "your love keeps lifting me higher."   Every single time it played he'd dance in his seat and point to the clouds with a smile on his face he'd say "Their singing about God you know!   Thats who lifting them them up, God is!  

Steve loved to use the word JOY to describe how he felt  rather then happy.   He said that happiness can be taken away but JOY cannot!

I page dedicated to Steves life without mentioning his love and admiration for his mother would not be complete.   Steve loved his mother and contributed all his good qualities as being passed to him from his mother.   He kept in heart all the wisdom his mom shared with him. The words "My mom used to tell me..." often fell from his lips. She worked hard and loved her children, she was there for him until her health would no longer permit.   I had the the honor of standing next to him when said his last goodbye to her.   He was able to to tell her how much he loved and appreciated her.  He was able to tell her that he got better.   He thanked her and told her that she didn't have to worry about him anymore, he was going to be Ok.   It meant so much to him that he was able to tell her those things before she passed.   She supposedly had no memory but she looked up at him and I'm sure said his name.   We were certain she understood him and that gave him peace and a sense of pride...he was able to show her that he was ok.  He's missed her so much, I'll bet their reunion was beautiful.  Thanks God.

Steve had a small eagle collection.   When people would ask him why he liked eagles he would smile and simply say " Because eagles fly above the storm."
