If you were still here, Dad, there's so much to share with you.

It’s been 35 long years without you, Dad. So much has happened but I thank God each day for His Grace and Faithfulness.
Dad, Psalm 1 is still my favorite Bible passage. You made me memorize it, and rewarded me with N20 after I recited it in church, as a kid. It was exciting sharing that story with your grand kids. The text is etched in my heart: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, …”

I somehow feel that Isaiah was your favorite prophet. And that Isaiah 53:5-8 is one of your favorite Bible passages, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.” Your memories come alive every time I come across these passages.

Dad, I know you are resting in the bosom of the Lord. Although it’s seldomly played these days, the song by Andre Rieu, titled “Oh When The Saints” reassures me that you finished your race in victory and resting with our Lord Jesus.

Dad, the Lord has been a great source of strength to us all these years. We are confident that we will meet you again on the resurrection morning. Continue to rest in the safe arms of Jesus.

Dad, am grateful am your offspring, your beliefs, life and life teachings has kept me, I fail most times and somehow you've been there to remind me to focus on the cross. Mum missed you(wasn't easy for her). Adesuwa, Ife, Zim and Towie wished they had met you. Ife kept asking but now understands that grandpas is with the LORD, and we hope to reunite with you someday.
