M. Stuart Raynor Jr.

Bonita Springs, Florida

Stuart Raynor peacefully departed Bonita Springs on March 7, 2016 after many hard fought battles of illness. Born in 1933 at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, NY to Helen   and Myron S. Raynor Sr. of Islip NY on the south shore of Long Island where the Raynor ancestors first settled in 1634.

Stu was a mischievous kid who played basketball and attended Alfred University before serving in the U.S. Air Force in Korean. He enjoyed boating on the Great South Bay to Fire Island where his life with Shiloh Hutton Raynor began in 1962 and crafting 3 children. Stu owned and managed the Bay Shore Lumber Company with the help of extended Hutton and Raynor family. In 1974 the Raynors came to Naples and then later settled in Bonita Springs. As a 32nd Degree Mason and astute businessman he expanded Causeway Lumber as General Manager where he touched many lives with his generosity and guidance.

Stuart had an amazing appetite for life. He saw and ate much of the world taking his family on endless vacations and adventures to Mexico, Europe, The West Indies and Africa. He will be remembered for his love of dogs, the NY Giants, the beach, Christmas mornings, Polo, practical jokes and “car-napping” people for hours when they thought it was just lunch.

A dedicated husband of 53 years and amazing father who instilled strength, love and confidence. He will be forever missed by his son Stuart Scott and wife Donna, grandchildren Stuart and Harrison Raynor of Estero,

Kiersten Raynor & husband Brad Beattie, his 3 sons and 7 dogs of Bonita Springs,

Ryan Drew & Tricia Raynor, grandchildren Hutton, Kiersten & McClain Raynor of Naples. As well as his brother Stephen and Barbara Raynor and entire Hutton clan.
