Well, Thanksgiving was shared with all the family and was fun and exhausting as always. The grandkids are all getting so big and sassy. We only have the two, Lucas and Porter, still little and a funny mess.
We spent Christmas Eve and Day together opening gifts and watching the same movie (A Christmas Story) all day! Everyone was there except Adam, Regina and Porter, they went to Ohio to visit Regina's family. All in all, everyone seemed happy and glad to share some time.
We miss you but see you often in things we do and say to each other.
I love you Mom!
We miss you Mom!
Unheard but always near still loved, still missed and very dear.
We miss you Mom and love you!
Yesterday makes seven years when you left but we still think of you every day.
We miss and love you forever, mom
I was born on Mother's day so my birthday is my mother's day celebration.
I miss you and think of you every day!
I love you!
My Mom always made our birthdays so special. My family will celebrate this great woman by gathering together and sharing memories at the Bright Star on Sunday!
I love you!
The first candle, reminds us of the depth of our love for you.
This second candle represents our courage, To change our lives.
This third candle we light in your memory, For the times we laughed,
The caring and joy you gave to us.
This fourth candle we light for our love. that your light will always shine.
This holiday season we shared a remembrance, We thank you for the gift your living brought to each of us.
We love you!
But holds some hidden pleasure,
And looking back, joys oft appear
To brim the past’s wide measure.
But blessings are like friends, I hold,
Who love and labor near us.
We ought to raise our notes of praise
While living hearts can hear us.
(Ella Wheeler Wilcox )
You were missed this Thanksgiving and will always be in out hearts.
I love you mom!
Though her smile is gone forever
and her hand I cannot touch
I still have so many memories
Of the one I loved so much.
Her memory is now my keepsake
Which with I’ll never part.
God has her in her keeping
I have her in my heart.
I love you mom!
Happy Mother's Day Mom! I love you and miss you!
Always!
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine always upon your face,
the rain fall soft on your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
this year I shall celebrate in memory of you.
I’ll put aside my sorrow with every unshed tear,
and concentrate on all the joy we shared when you were here.
Our time together taught me what Christmas time is for,
and that’s what I’ll remember until we meet once more.
This poem is from an unknown author but I felt It would acknowledge our thoughts and feelings. We do miss you all year, please know we still think and cherish you and always will. I love you!
Today is the day I dread out of the whole year. I think of you in silence and will forever keep your memory in my heart. I love you mom!

Happy Birthday in Heaven, Mom! Not a day goes by when I don’t think of you, miss you, love you! May Angels hold you closely and sing you a birthday song!
I love you Mom!
No matter where we are in the world on this special day, there's only one place we truly want to be.
"The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other." - Burton Hillis
As amazing as the presents inside all the wrapped boxes and stuffed bags can be, it is truly the people that make the place on this special day.
We were all together this year for the first time in six years. It felt good and I felt happy knowing I'm blessed with a very close and loving family. These lessons are learned from past years and you were always a huge part of our lives. We miss and love you very much! Merry Christmas Mom! I love you!

We miss you Mom every day and keep you in our hearts!
Wish Granddaddy Happy Birthday!
I love you Mom!
And do not call him names,
As 'Slimy skin,' or 'Polly-wog,'
Or likewise 'Ugly James,'
Or 'Gap-a-grin,' or 'Toad-gone-wrong,'
Or 'Bill Bandy-knees':
The Frog is justly sensitive
To epithets like these.
No animal will more repay
A treatment kind and fair;
At least so lonely people say
Who keep a frog (and, by the way,
They are extremely rare).
Stepping stones to the stars
Her love is unconditional
Her heart has no bars
A mother teaches her children
To be confident and bold
Her special love for her children
More valuable than silver or gold!
This morning we had biscuits and fig jam just like most Sundays with you and felt you as we know you are always watching. Remember we love you!
Happy Mother's day mom, I love you and miss you and think about you always!
Today is your birthday. I want to thank you for always being there for us.
I have been blessed to have such a strong and loving example for a mother.
On this day, my hope is that you will feel the love of all who adore you. I hope you have peace in your soul, laughter in your heart, a smile on your face & enough chocolate cake to share.
I Love You Mom! Happy Birthday!
beyond the skies above
somewhere very peaceful
that is full of light and love
That special place is Heaven
where you’re free to laugh and roam
it was your time to go there
so the angels took you home
And though you’re in our thoughts
each single day throughout the year
at special times like Christmas
we all wish you could be here
Now you’re in a better place
your soul is laid to rest
safe with all the angels
for they only take the best
Merry Christmas Mom! We miss you and wish you could be apart of the madness here.....great grand children growing too fast but all very special and beautiful. You would be very proud! I Love You and Miss You!
or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she’s gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
or you can do what she’d want:
smile,
open your eyes,
love
and go on.
Please remember we love you and miss you dearly. i wish you were here and I will love you always! I love you, Kitty

She's the whisper of the leaves
as you walk down the street.
She's the smell of bleach in
your freshly laundered socks.
She's the cool hand on your
brow when you're not well.
Your mother lives inside
your laughter. She's crystallized
in every tear drop...
She's the place you came from,
your first home.. She's the map you
follow with every step that you take.
She's your first love and your first heart
break....and nothing on earth can separate you.
Not time, Not space...
Not even death....
will ever separate you
from your mother....
You carry her inside of you....
I love you mom!
I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we're together again.
Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and forever here!
I love you mom!

We are deeply saddened by the loss of your mother. "Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day. Death leaves heartaches that no one can heel. Love leaves memories that no one can steal." May you find comfort in the loving memories of your mother. May the passage of time heel your grief. Our thoughts are with you.

My grandmother was a one of a kind woman, and as my mother so perfectly put, she was a true southern woman. She was never one to shy away from speaking her mind, and while she may not have always understood the trends of the generations she witnessed come and go out of her doors, she would usually listen with a smile regardless and entertain the idea. Her smile was infectious. She was a little blonde woman from a small place in Alabama who was fortunate enough to make something of herself through a dedicated work ethic, and it paid off down the road as she got to experience all sorts of different worlds and cultures through her traveling with grandaddy. It was an unexpected yet enlightening suprise to hear of the experiences she gained whenever a foreign country she had visited was brought up in just casual conversation. What I truly enjoyed the most, and miss more than anything, were those Sunday breakfasts at her house. There was never a shortage in the biscuits and gravy, and we never left that table hungry. I cherished sitting there, as the grandchildren ran amock through the house in their latest sugar induced frenzy, and we would all just talk among one another until the weather was right for a dip in the pool. Those days were always a favorite of mine, and it held as something to look forward to at the end of the week. No matter what your plans may be, on Sunday morning you were at that table. There can never be another Sue Buckner, because how could there be? She was a gem of her generation. A loss like this is never easy, but she taught us so much about not only who she was, but of where I was born, and where most of our families roots come from. She leaves us with great memories that will have us smiling and laughing for years to come.
I love you Grandmother.
-Adam
I was saddened to hear of grandmothers passing. She was always there to listen to me. The funny one story is she wanted me to fix her hair and I got the curling iron stuck in her hair. She just laughed and said you crazy girl I thought you knew what you were doing I had many good times and will treasure the good times we had. Rest in peace until we meet again. Give Bradley a hug and kiss and grandaddy.
