Mr. Mr. Sylvester (Jackie) Sistrunk was born June 6, 1932 to the late Legurther and Daniel Sistrunk.

He later moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he worked for the United States Steel.

He also served six years in the United States Army and battled in Korea for six years.   After  fifty-four  years,  he and  his wife  moved  to Coosa County, Alabama where they united with Corinth Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  His wife, Mrs. Phennie Sistrunk of Fifty-one (51) years. A daughter, Stephanie  Hunter of  Dallas, TX.  A step  daughter, Shirley A. (Joe) Tuck of Kellyton, AL. One sister, Gerrie (John) Galloice of Locust Grove, VA. One brother,Daniel Sistrunk. Two aunts: Ms. Sarah Tipton and Ms. Alma Lockett, all of Cleveland, OH. Five grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren, a host of relatives and friends; two (2) sisters-in-law, Ms Betty Burton, Alexander City, Alabama, Ms. Ruth Burton of Goodwater, Alabama.
