His Life
November 25, 2013

Mr. Takeshi E. “Keith” Jackson, the son of Lethia A. (Flournoy) Jackson and Jerry L. Brooks was born December 20, 1973 in Chambers County, AL. He departed this life on Friday, November 22, 2013 at his residence.

Takeshi accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Louis Upshaw. He was very active in the church serving as a member of the Praise Team. He attended Sunday School, Bible Study weekly and yearly Vacation Bible School.

“Keith”, as he was fondly known to all, received his early education from Valley Haven School. In later years he attended Valley High School, where he was a member of the 1993 graduating class.

Keith’s hobby was sitting on the floor eating his favorite food, chicken and fries. It was not one day that Keith did not ask for chicken and fries. Many times you could find Keith in his bedroom singing his favorite song, “I Don’t Feel No Ways Tired.” He had learned this song as youth and continued to sing it as an adult.

Whenever you saw him, he would greet you with a big smile on his face and a hug of compassion. He was full of laughter and joy. Keith had a tender heart when it came to kids and he enjoyed playing and spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ella Mae Bailey, Arthur James Winston, James McFarley; great grandparents, Carrie and Nathan Flournoy.
