As December 16 arrived and went, I am reminded of a remarkable soul who graced this world with his presence. we celebrate not just a date but the enduring spirit of a man whose life touched ours in ways we cherish dearly.

Born on this day in 1929, Uncle Teleale embodied the true essence of kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love. His gentle demeanor and warm smile were constants in our lives, offering solace and guidance whenever needed. He was more than an uncle; he was a guiding light, a source of inspiration to us all.

Though he departed from this world on a day marked with my birth and September 1, 2016, his legacy lives on within our hearts. His presence, though physically absent, lingers in the memories we hold dear, in the lessons he imparted, and the values he instilled in us.

Uncle Teleale, your presence is deeply missed, but your spirit remains alive within us. As we raise a toast to your memory, know that you are forever cherished, forever loved, and forever remembered.

But they missed your subtle way of solving problems and mentorship skills.

Our dearest Telealeye, although time is running so fast, your humorous taught, advice, and unique way of overcoming life's obstacles are still vividly remembered as if they happened yesterday.
While writing this note, your grandson, Kaleb Fiseha came to me and showed me his graphic arts design forT-shirts and Caps. It is a marvelous project. He is now researching to gather resources and find potential markets. Remembering how you helped so many people to flourish their dreams into reality, it's unfortunate that Kaleb missed this opportunity.

I can't believe it has been 5 years. I miss you so much. We are so lucky to have you as our grandpa. I know that you are safe in heaven and you are watching over us. I wish you were still here with us but you are still in our hearts. I think about you everyday and just think of how much fun we would be having.
Mama always tells me that you are so fun to be around and I know we would have so much fun together. She also has lots and lots of stories about you. I love you, and I believe it because I dont have alot of memories about you and I still love you with all of my heart. I know you love us and you are watching over us 24/7. I always keep a picture of you inside my phone case so you will always be with me. I know even without that picture of you in my phone case you are still next to me laughing with me and watching over me.
I wish that I had more memories with you, but even without a lot of memories I still feel like we have had so many memories with each other. I miss you so much and I wish you could be here with us right now. I know God is very happy with you and he had a good reason for choosing you as my Grandpa and for taking you to be with him in heaven. I thank you for everything you have done for us. Dear Telealeye, I cant believe that it has been five years since you passed. I was 9 years old when you passed, now I am 14 and just staring high school. I still remember the day that you passed. I had no idea about what was going on. All I know was that it started out as a good day and then everything changed. I was going home with friends from school. I remember Ababa picking us instead of Mama from my friends house. I asked where Mama was and then I called her. She told me that she was on her way to Ethiopia, and that you had passed. I remember holding back tears which was very hard. We always always talk about you. There seems to be something that we see or do that reminds us of you.

One thing that I heard about you is that you will pick a penny if you saw one and say "It is a penny more than I have." It taught me how to save money and to grateful. I will never forget that.

FIRST and foremost, I dedicate this week's “ramblings” to my beloved uncle Telele Worku. Four years ago, he was unexpectedly taken away from his family .

Known as a “man of many words and advice to me”, my relationship with him was never based on speech. Yet, I have always felt and known that I held an affinity for him. Since my younger days, I realise that although we didn't talk much, he cared for me in many other ways specially when I 1st arrived here in the North country. People have said it is the small things in life that matter, and my dear uncle was testament to that. I can vividly recall many of the fond memories I have of him here in the North country for example the town of Duarte California the swap meet the church stories and PA'S Church my first American hamburger and shopping for one onion for my aunt where many of the found memories.
I now know that he had touched many of our lives , sometimes I just look up and smile and say that was you especially when I'm with Tsega. He has turned out to be a very gentle soul just like you and I think that's a tribute to you love. I love you always. Your rambunctious nephew .

We celebrated Thanksgiving this week. I've been thinking about my Dad a lot and feel grateful for having him in my life for the last 50 years. I am also grateful and thankful to all my friends and family who stood by us during this past year. God is good!

Dear Mama Edna, Koki, Sahalu, Tsega, and Muna,

Our hearts are filled with sorrow to hear of Gashe Telale's home going . There are no sufficient words that can be uttered that can justifiably express our condolences . 

For those who knew Gashe Telale, they can say they are part of the privileged who got to see first hand what it means to be Christ-like by the life that Gashe lived.

When I think of Gashe, I feel of sense of peace, because for as long as I have known him I never remember anything but peace and that wonderful smile and loving spirit he always greeted us all with and his attitude of peaceful resilience toward's life's challenges.

I am grateful to God that He blessed all of you to be together to send Gashe to our Fathers arms so that you can be a source of strength and comfort to each other. I can't thank God enough that you all have your faith and relationship with God that is sufficient when your humanity overflows and He is there to catch, comfort and hold you.

I am also grateful to God that He know our pain so well that He leaves us with loving, and comforting memories of Gashe to remind us he is always with us.
The beauty of God is that he reminds us of our dearly departed by those around us and places and things that they enjoyed. This allows us to use these to strengthen us and help us remember they have colored and continue to color our lives.

Please know that you are all dearly loved, prayed for and thought of everyday ! Continue to be strong in the Lord and be blessed !

It is terrible to hear the passing of Telealiye, who was the very core foundation and one of the strongest pillars of our family. My family and I were fortunate enough to know Telealiye through his beloved daughters Koki and Muna who are our dearest friends. We first exchanged greetings and felicitations during the holiday time. When he came to visit his daughters and grandsons, we spent precious times together. We discussed on various social, moral, political, and religious issues. During those discussions he influenced us in many ways especially with his tenderness, tolerance and kindness. Also we came to realize his graciousness, politeness and compassion for fellow human beings has no limit. He lived an exemplary life, from raising his 4 magnificent children to helping needy people for a better future, and devoting his time and effort to mend various social problems.
   Missing someone very special like Telealiye brings tears to our eyes however, remembering all the good times we have spent with him brings smiles to our faces and a warm filling to our hearts. Due to all these and other factors we cannot say we are going to miss Telealiye at all, because his spirit, enlightening advices and encouragement will live with us in every moment of our lives.

The Bible says “a good name is more precious than fine rubies” As one thinks of Teleale and the life he lived we can be thankful that his name will be remembered for the different ways he impacted people's lives, the example he lived, the stories he told, the guidance he gave, and the deep love he shared for family and friends. We are thankful for the treasured memories that will forever enrich our lives because of him.

We are comforted when Teleale returned to the God who created him, who loves him dearly – he completed his life’s work and was welcomed home by our loving Lord with the words – “Well done my good and Faithful servant”

If there is a Christian Hall of Fame – Teleale certainly would be inducted because of his life, his godly example and because his priorities were centered around God’s heartbeat for living life.
