"A Time to Be Born" Thelma Higgins Pritchett was born March 14, 1939 in Alexander City, Alabama to the late Fred and Katie Higgins Caffrey.

"A Time to Love" On June 23, 1963 Thelma united in marriage to Arthur Pritchett in New York City at the young age of24. Through that union they raised daughter, Pamela Felicia .

"A Time for Every Purpose under the Heaven" Thelma was raised in a loving Christian home and accepted Christ at an early age attending Peace and Goodwill Missionary Church in Coosa County, Alabama. Thelma attended Fairfield High school and then went on to college at Tuskegee Institute "University" earning a BA degree in health sciences. She moved to New York after graduation where she worked at Bellevue Hospital as a head dietitian for many years. Thelma retired from Bellevue Hospital after over 30 years of service.

"A Time to Die" Thelma was called home on April21, 2013. Her step daughter, Patricia was with her at her time of death .

"A Time to Mourn" She leaves her everlasting memories for her daughter, Pamela Felicia, step daughters, Patricia Odom of New York and Maxine to Birmingham,Alabama; four grandchildren, Breairra Crum. Deairra Crum, Diamond Crum and Jayla Mitchell of Tampa, Florida; sister, Freddie Jackson-Higgins of Youngstown, Ohio; brother, Alfred L. Higgins, (Mary) Rockford , Alabama and a host of relatives and friends.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Katie Higgins; husband, Arthur Pritchett; brother, James M. Higgins, Charles L. .Higgins and Walter E. Higgins and a very special cousin who she cared for until his death, Billy Mitchell.
